Jason Jones, publicist for General Interest & Lifestyle, knows that to build and maintain a great brand, you must build and maintain a great reputation. And the best way to do that is for people to see you all the time and everywhere and for the right reasons. And how does that happen? Through solid relationships and countless contacts. Jason has put together press conferences for mayors, senators, home-run champions and CEOs. And whether it's tracking media coverage, crafting an editor-snaring press release or pitch letter, coordinating a press event, reputation management, storytelling or story placement, Jason is your man.
Jason spent six years as media relations director for America's first-and-only not-for-profit professional sports franchise - the Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals) - and was an integral part of the staff that built and manned the finest minor league baseball facility ever built, $80 million dollar AutoZone Park in downtown Memphis. In 2003, Jason took over as public relations director at one of the region's largest advertising agencies, where he managed accounts such as The University of Memphis and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, among others.
A native Memphian, Jason is a 1996 graduate of the University of Tennessee-Martin and a fanatical and entirely non-objective Memphis Tigers fan who loves camping, fishing, reading, golf, baseball, basketball and the Lord (though, not necessarily in that order!).
He and his wife Tracey have been blessed with two little boys, Jack and Charlie.

With three New York Times bestsellers in 2010, will her first 2011 release hit big, too?

In February, Same Kind of Different as Me, the story of the unlikely friendship between a homeless former sharecropper and a wealthy white art dealer, reached one million in sales. Vincent wrote the perennial bestseller with Ron Hall and Denver Moore. The book earned Hall and Moore an invitation to the White House – and a private lunch with President George H.W. Bush and former First Ladies Laura and Barbara Bush — during an event celebrating family literacy in 2008. READ MORE »
