Bible Publisher Responds to Bible Customer Needs

(Nashville, Tenn.) Thomas Nelson, one of the world’s largest publishers of Bibles, will offer a Lifetime Guarantee on all of their Bibles beginning August 1, 2010, the company has announced. Regardless of binding, if a Bible fails due to manufacturing defects, customers may return it for a free replacement. If the same Bible is no longer available, it will be replaced with a Bible of the same or greater value. This guarantee applies to both English and Spanish versions as well as adult and children’s titles.

Especially when working with God’s Word we feel it’s our responsibility to uphold the utmost integrity and care. When someone purchases or suggests our Bible or Bible study titles they can do so confidently knowing that we stand behind each offering,” notes Gary Davidson, Senior VP and Group Publisher for Thomas Nelson’s Bible Group.

“To my knowledge we’re the first publisher offering a lifetime guarantee on all Bible bindings,” adds Davidson. “Our consumer research shows that 65% of Bible customers surveyed ranked a lifetime guarantee as a key added value they want when they buy a Bible and we at Thomas Nelson want to deliver.”

Starting in August, customers will be able to learn more about the care of Bibles, register for their lifetime guarantee, and receive free offers for adults, children, and the Spanish speaking communities by visiting a designated webpage on ThomasNelsonBibles.com. For ease of use, this page will offer text in a customer’s language choice of either English or Spanish. Information on the lifetime guarantee will be included in all packaged Bibles.

To make things easier for retailers on the store level, the materials encourage customers to contact Thomas Nelson directly with any guarantee concerns. However, should a customer turn to a retailer for an exchange in keeping with their guarantee terms, the publisher will replace the Bible to the store’s stock.

The lifetime Bible guarantee does not apply to normal wear and tear. Also, non-Bible products offered by Thomas Nelson may still be returned for a free replacement of the same or comparable product within one year of date of purchase should a manufacturing defect be present.
