About the Titles:
In April 2008, New York Times best-selling author Ted Dekker unleashed his most riveting novel yet with Adam, to the delight of his legions of fans and those readers coming to his work for the first time. An elusive serial killer whose victims die of unknown causes and the psychologist obsessed with catching him. FBI behavioral psychologist Daniel Clark has been made famous by his arguments that religion is one of society’s greatest antagonists. What Daniel doesn’t know is that his obsessive pursuit of a serial killer known only as “Eve” will end in his own death at Eve’s hand. Twenty minutes later Daniel is resuscitated, only to be haunted by those twenty missing minutes of life. It soon becomes painfully clear that the only way to stop Eve is to recover those missing minutes by dying . . . again. Daniel will have to face haunting realities about demon possession in the modern world—and reevaluate his own prejudice against religion—to stop the killer.
The Domino Effect Participant’s Guide rips the bandage off the issue of evil. This gripping and intensely personal initiative prompts life-changing discussion and discovery. It gives us a behind-the-scenes look at God’s thoughts toward good and evil, and it introduces God’s solution to the problem of evil—redemption. The guide includes an audio CD containing daily devotions that help readers continue their study momentum throughout the week. The guide serves as a companion to The Domino Effect DVD which features energetic teaching and creative animation—creating dynamic small group discussion and fostering an authentic community experience. The DVD features six sessions of study, video discussion that strategically summarizes key points, scripture verses, and illustrations from each session, as well as open-ended questions designed to invite users to engage with God’s story.
The Voice of Hebrews is a retelling of the Book of Hebrews that is designed to help readers understand how Jesus completes the law and prophecy. It features a compelling comparison of an unusual character from Genesis (Melchizedek) and the Liberator found in the New Testament (Jesus) along with the complete text of the book of Hebrews presented in The Voice™ translation. Replicating the manner in which the Bible was originally available in the church’s first century beginnings, The Voice™ translation has previously been introduced to the marketplace through the release of single books of the Bible, including Acts, Matthew, Luke, John, Mark, Romans, and The Voice of Hebrews. The Voice™ New Testament, which releases in October, will mark the official launch of The Voice™ Bible translation.
