Thank You Power Debuts at #13, Rises to #10
New Book By Deborah Norville Enters Sixth Printing
(Nashville, TN) – Thomas Nelson Senior Vice President and Publisher Joey Paul, announced this week that Thank You Power by Deborah Norville debuted at #13 on the New York Times Best Sellers List in the Advice and How To section. It moved to #10 on October 28 in the same section. Norville, anchor of Inside Edition, recently completed a 11 city national book tour promoting Thank You Power (Thomas Nelson, ISBN 978-0-7852-2193-7, $19.99, October 2007), a groundbreaking and persuasive book that argues gratitude is the secret key to unlocking one’s full life potential.
“We are very excited,” says Paul, “about the success of this book and to work with Deborah to relay this important message.” Paul added that after only one week Thank You Power is now set for its sixth printing.
“Thank You Power started as a hunch,” said Deborah Norville, two-time Emmy Award winner and anchor of Inside Edition, the nation’s top-rated syndicated newsmagazine. “In my thirty years of reporting, I have interviewed scores of people who have experienced unthinkable tragedies. Time and again I’ve been astounded that so many people, despite terrific suffering, feel grateful. I have long wondered if the practice of gratitude was somehow linked to one’s ability to find inner strength and happiness,” says Norville.
Rooted in science, presented from a spiritual perspective, Thank You Power details the surprising life improvements that can stem from the practice of gratitude. Norville brings together for the first time the behavioral and psychological research that prove what people of faith have long known: giving thanks brings life blessings.
Beginning with two small words, thank you, Norville shows how anyone can be happier and more resilient, have better relationships, improved health, and less stress. After two years of scientific research, Norville brings it all together with powerful personal stories of thank you power in action and gives specific steps for readers to cultivate thank you power putting it to work in their own lives.
The Thank You Power national book tour will include stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Dallas, Tampa, and Richmond. In conjunction with the book release, Norville appeared on Good Morning America and Hannity and Colmes October 4th, Trinity Broadcasting Network October 9th, and The View on October 26. Numerous additional media appearances are scheduled during October and November.
